Volleyball Recap: Gallup Takes a Loss

After flying high against Zuni on Saturday, Gallup came back down to earth. The Bengals came up short against the Farmington Scorpions on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bengals of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

While Gallup ultimately came up short, they really made Farmington work, particularly in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-16, 25-21.

Gallup now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Farmington, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.

Gallup will face off against Navajo Prep at 1:45 p.m. on Friday. After both having extra time off, Farmington and Miyamura will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
