Softball Recap: Meridian Comes Up Short

Meridian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 21-6 to the Shawnee Redskins. The Bobcats were not able to make up for their defeat to the Redskins from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Kiara Lane was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. She also put up two RBI, which were her first of the season.

Meridian's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Shawnee, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Meridian didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 15-5 defeat against Cobden on the 26th. As for Shawnee, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 5-3 win against Dongola on the 28th.
