Rensselaer Central and Kouts are an even 3-3 against one another since May of 2015, but likely not for long. The Bombers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mustangs & Fillies at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Rensselaer Central has three straight wins, Kouts has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Rensselaer Central saw some tournament action on Saturday. They walked away with a 7-2 victory over North Judson-San Pierre.

Kami Davis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Stacia Crabtree was incredible, firing off two home runs, four RBI, and one stolen base while going 2-for-3. That's the most RBI she has posted over her last 11 matches.

Meanwhile, Kouts scored first but ultimately less than Twin Lakes in their game on Saturday. They came up short against the Indians, falling 17-6.

Cheyanne Bailey made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three doubles, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Anna Overholt, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run and two runs.

Kouts' defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Rensselaer Central, their win bumped their record up to 12-7.

Rensselaer Central suffered a grim 18-5 defeat to Kouts when the teams last played back in May of 2023. Can the Bombers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
