Volleyball Recap: Liberty Takes a Loss

Liberty was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Harmony Longhorns. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Chargers of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-18, 25-8.

Carlos Villanueva paced Liberty's offense, picking up five kills. Villanueva got some help from Joel Lopez and his ten assists.

Liberty's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Harmony, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-5.

Liberty has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Gateway on the 8th. As for Harmony, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against St. Cloud on the 8th.
