Hillsboro came tearing into Friday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Parkrose Broncos with a sharp 10-1 victory. The Spartans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Broncos, too.

Hillsboro pushed their record up to 10-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Parkrose, they are on a 39-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-17.

Hillsboro will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Broncos: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
