Softball Recap: Gordonsville Beats Red Boiling Springs for Their Seventh Straight Win

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Gordonsville). They never let the Red Boiling Springs Bulldogs get on the board and left with a 22-0 victory on Tuesday. The win was nothing new for the Tigers as they're now sitting on seven straight.

Gordonsville got a massive performance out of Abby Brinkley, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. That stolen base was Brinkley's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Bailey Stewart, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one double.

Gordonsville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .615. The last time their batting average was this high was back in March of 2024.

Gordonsville pushed their record up to 14-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Red Boiling Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3-1.
