Baseball Game Preview: Percy Julian Phoenix vs. Brewbaker Tech Rams + Official Tickets

The Percy Julian Phoenix are taking a road trip to take on the Brewbaker Tech Rams at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

While Phoenix fans will have to keep waiting for their squad to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Thursday's season opener. They blew past Goshen 16-1 on Thursday.

Tracy Pearson was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. Pearson was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Ardarius Broaden was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. De'Andre Bryant was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Brewbaker Tech put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on Bullock County with a sharp 17-2 win. Fans of the Rams have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Brewbaker Tech got a massive performance out of Aidan Braxter, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Joe Colvin, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with four stolen bases and three runs.

Brewbaker Tech was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .533. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in four consecutive games dating back to last season.

Percy Julian couldn't quite get it done against Brewbaker Tech in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 as they fell 15-11. Can the Phoenix avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
