Softball Recap: DeQuincy Comes Up Short

DeQuincy suffered their biggest loss since April 17, 2024 on Monday. They came up short against the South Beauregard Knights, falling 21-9. The Tigers have struggled against the Knights recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meetings.

Bryah LeDay was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3. She also hit two doubles, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Kayden Whotte, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

DeQuincy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for South Beauregard, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. DeQuincy will welcome Grand Lake at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. DeQuincy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season. As for South Beauregard, they will be playing at home against Iowa at 5:00 p.m. on March 10th.
