Softball Recap: West Stanly Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

West Stanly got themselves on the board against Parkwood on Tuesday, but Parkwood never followed suit. They were the clear victor by an 11-0 margin over the Parkwood Wolf Pack. The victory continues a trend for the Colts in their matchups with the Wolf Pack: they've now won eight in a row.

Madi Whitley made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base.

In other batting news, Makayla Crayton was excellent, scoring a run while going 1-for-1. Payton Watson was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

West Stanly's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

West Stanly didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 15-0 victory against Monroe on the 6th. As for Parkwood, they have also already played their next contest, a 17-6 win against Anson on the 6th.
