Basketball Recap: Warren County Comes Up Short

Warren County lost against Drew Charter back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Screaming Devils were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 45-44 to Drew Charter. The contest was a 20-20 toss-up at halftime, but the Screaming Devils couldn't quite close it out.

Drew Charter was led to victory by Vincent Kray and DeWon Davenport. Kray dropped a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds, while Davenport dropped a double-double with ten points and ten boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which Kray has scored at least a third of Drew Charter's points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Warren County fell to 4-1. As for Drew Charter, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Looking ahead, Warren County will head out on the road to face off against Treutlen at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Drew Charter, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Chamblee at 7:30 p.m. Drew Charter will be up against the Bulldogs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 61.33 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
