Basketball Recap: Darby Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Darby can now relate to. The game between them and the Powell County Wardens didn't end well, with the Darby Tigers falling 49-31. The Tigers just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Darby's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Powell County, their victory bumped their record up to 9-4.

Darby and Powell County could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Montana Rankings. Darby will square off against Florence-Carlton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday down 82 places (126 vs. 44). Similarly, Powell County (ranked 68th) will meet Loyola-Sacred Heart (ranked sixth) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
