Baseball Recap: Nevis Takes a Loss

After flying high against Laporte last Thursday, Nevis came back down to earth. The Tigers came up short against the New York Mills Eagles on Thursday, falling 8-2. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 12-7 to the Eagles when the teams met back in May of 2015, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Nevis saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Marshall Kalm, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double. That double was Kalm's first of the season.

Nevis' loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-7. As for New York Mills, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Nevis nor New York Mills have any future games scheduled.
