Soccer Preview: Beacon Looking to Get the Offense Going Against Hunter College

The Beacon Blue Devils will challenge the Hunter College Hawks at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday. Beacon's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Beacon fell victim to Martin Luther King Jr Educational Campus and their airtight defense on Friday. They lost 4-0 to the Knights. While losing is never fun, Beacon can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York soccer rankings (they are ranked 262nd, while Martin Luther King Jr Educational Campus are ranked 124th).

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Hunter College was forced to settle for a draw. The Hawks and Irving finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw on Friday.

Beacon now has a losing record at 1-2-2. Hunter College's draw makes their record 1-1-1 this season.
