Basketball Recap: Southside Takes a Loss

Southside lost against Hall back in December of 2019 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Southside Mavericks received a blow as they fell 51-33 to the Hall Warriors. The Mavericks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Southside's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Hall, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Southside will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Bentonville at 7:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025. Hall and Germantown will round out the year against one another at on Friday. Germantown knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Hall likes a good challenge.
