Basketball Recap: Billings Christian Starts Season with Victory at Home

Billings Christian gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They secured a 55-51 W over the Mt. Ellis Academy Eagles. That's more bragging rights for the Warriors, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Billings Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Trevin Sweet led the charge by putting up eight points in addition to nine rebounds and five steals. Those five steals gave Sweet a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Silas Grimstad, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 11 boards.

Billings Christian will have a chance to go back-to-back against Mt. Ellis Academy: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
