Basketball Recap: Penobscot Valley Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

After flying high against Woodland last Wednesday, Penobscot Valley came back down to earth. The Penobscot Valley Howlers took a 46-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Calais Blue Devils on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Howlers in their matchups with the Blue Devils: they've now lost four in a row.

Penobscot Valley's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-2. As for Calais, their win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Penobscot Valley will venture away from home to face off against Mattanawcook at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Calais, they are taking a road trip to take on Machias at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
