Basketball Game Preview: Pike Road Patriots vs. Park Crossing Thunderbirds

Pike Road is 2-7 against Park Crossing since November of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Pike Road Patriots will face off against the Park Crossing Thunderbirds at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Pike Road's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matches.

Last Thursday, Pike Road didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Rehobeth, but they still walked away with a 66-61 victory.

Meanwhile, Park Crossing was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 64-55 to Russell County. While losing is never fun, the Thunderbirds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 222nd, while the Warriors are ranked 57th).

Park Crossing's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Pike Road, their win bumped their record up to 15-7.

Pike Road took their victory against Park Crossing in their previous matchup on Tuesday by a conclusive 77-57. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pike Road since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
