Volleyball Recap: Panorama Pythons vs. Kennedy Cougars

After flying high against Northridge Academy on Friday, Panorama came back down to earth. The Pythons fell just short of the Kennedy Cougars by a score of 3-2 on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Panorama actually scored more points across those five sets (99-96), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 19-25, 11-25, 25-13, 16-14.

Kennedy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Daniela Quezada out in front who had six kills, five aces, three digs, and one block. That's the most digs Quezada has posted since back in September. Another player making a difference was Byanca Aleman, who had four aces and three digs.

Panorama's loss ended a four-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-12. As for Kennedy, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 21-7.

Panorama wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Canoga Park on the 8th. As for Kennedy, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Sylmar on the 8th.
