Soccer Recap: Marbury Comes Up Short

Marbury was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Sylacauga Aggies. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Marbury of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Marbury's loss dropped their record down to 4-7-3. As for Sylacauga, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

Marbury has already played their next contest, a 4-0 win against Booker T. Washington Magnet on the 10th. As for Sylacauga, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 1-0 victory against Valley on the 8th.
