Baseball Recap: Reardan Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Reardan can bid farewell to their 12-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They came out on top against the Kettle Falls Bulldogs by a score of 5-4 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Screaming Eagles have posted since April 19, 2024.

Hunter Flaa made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He is becoming a predictor of Reardan's success: when he allows at most one hit the team is undefeated (and 2-12 when he doesn't). Flaa was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one stolen base.

Flaa wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Levi Collier, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Reardan's record is now 5-12. As for Kettle Falls, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-13.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Reardan beat the Bulldogs by a score of 4-2 later that day.
