Softball Recap: Anniston Comes Up Short

Anniston and Handley squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Anniston had to settle for second. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 17-2. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost six in a row.

Anniston's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Handley, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 17-24-1.

Anniston didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 16-4 win against Talladega on the 29th. Hopefully Handley paid attention to the Bulldogs' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Bulldogs at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
