Flag Football Recap: El Capitan Skates Past Monte Vista with Ease

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against O'Farrell Charter, El Capitan was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Monte Vista Monarchs 33-0. The result was nothing new for the Vaqueros, who have now won four contests by 22 points or more so far this season.

Kylee Frazier produced another solid performance throwing for 267 yards and five touchdowns while completing 73.7% of her passes, and also rushing for 50 yards. Those five passing touchdowns gave her a new career-high. Ciara Bernardini was Frazier's top target, picking up 83 receiving yards and one score, while also rushing for 55 yards.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to El Capitan's defense and their seven sacks. Leading the way was Audra Guillory with four. Guillory is crushing it when it comes to sacks: she's posted at least one every time she's taken the field this season.

El Capitan's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-5. As for Monte Vista, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
