Recap: Taylor County Bulldogs vs. Suwannee Bulldogs
The Taylor County Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 59-36 walloping at the hands of Suwannee. Taylor County has struggled against Suwannee recently, as their matchup on Thursday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Taylor County still got an impressive performance from LeeAsia Johnson, who scored 13 points. The contest was Johnson's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Jershila Glover was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Taylor County bumped their record down to 1-5 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 22.5 points per game. As for Suwannee, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.
Taylor County will head out on the road to face off against Riverside Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Riverside Christian comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last six games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Suwannee, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Gadsden County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
