Volleyball Recap: Hilltop Comes Up Short

Hilltop was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They came up short against the Mater Dei Catholic Crusaders, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Lancers have suffered since April 11th.

Hilltop's defeat dropped their record down to 7-22. As for Mater Dei Catholic, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 21 of their last 24 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-10 record this season.

Hilltop does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mater Dei Catholic, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Escondido Charter on the 1st.
