Mountain Vista won the last time they faced Cherry Creek and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Golden Eagles won by a set and slipped past the Bruins 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Golden Eagles.

Mountain Vista took Cherry Creek into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-20, 23-25, 25-23, 18-16.

Mountain Vista got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kennedy Schmidt out in front who had 25 assists and five digs. Schmidt is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last 20 games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Morella, who had 18 digs.

Mountain Vista now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Cherry Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
