Softball Recap: Greenwood Comes Up Short

Greenwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Cascade Cadets, falling 11-1.

Greenwood saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Macie Smith, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Greenwood's record now sits at 4-12. As for Cascade, their win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Greenwood will face off against Warren Central at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Cascade, they will square off against Hamilton Heights at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cadets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Huskies have averaged an impressive 9.1 runs per game this season.
