Freedom won the last time they faced St. Stephens and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Patriots walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Indians. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Patriots.
Madelyn LeMaster spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits.
On the hitting side, Hallie Ollis was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylee Skinner, who went 1-for-2 with two runs.
Freedom's record is now 7-13. As for St. Stephens, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-13.
Coming up, Freedom will square off against South Caldwell at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Patriots' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
