Basketball Game Preview: Klein Bearkats vs. Magnolia Bulldogs

The Klein Bearkats will head out on the road to face off against the Magnolia Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Magnolia took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Klein, who comes in off a win.

Klein will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Tomball Memorial, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Klein secured a 26-20 W over Tomball Memorial on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Bearkats sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Meanwhile, Magnolia was beaten by Tomball 55-25 on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 823rd, while the Cougars are ranked 127th).

Magnolia dropped their record down to 4-19 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Klein, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which somehow still isn't as good as their 26-8 record this season.

Everything came up roses for Klein against Magnolia in their previous meeting back in January, as the squad secured a 58-28 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Klein since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
