Game recap: Friendship Collegiate Academy wins against Dunbar

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Friendship Collegiate Academy (Washington, D.C.) jumped out to an early lead against Dunbar (Washington, D.C.) and never looked back on the way to a 48-12 victory on Saturday.

The Knights put up 14 points in the opening frame. Friendship Collegiate Academy scored on a safety, a touchdown run by Justin Watson and a Jermaine Carter touchdown run.

After taking the lead on a safety in the first quarter, FCA led 22-6 at the half.

The Knights expanded their lead to 29 points entering the fourth quarter. Friendship Collegiate Academy scored three times in the third, including once on a Carter touchdown pass to Yannick Ngakoue.

The Crimson Tide's James Duff played well. The junior wide receiver caught one touchdown. His performance brought his touchdown total to three on the year.



Carter played well for FCA in the victory. The senior threw one touchdown and ran for one touchdown.

Dunbar came in giving up 8.5 points per game this season. Led by Jalen Tabor, the Knights came into the game allowing 14.2 points per game. DHS's 12 points were well below its season average of 20.6 per game.

The loss comes after Dunbar defeated Anacostia 12-8 last week. The loss snapped the Crimson Tide's 3-game winning streak.
