Basketball Recap: Superior Skates Past St. Patrick's with Ease

On Saturday, the Superior Wildcats took their match with ease, bagging a 63-23 win over the St. Patrick's Irish. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 24 points or more this season.

Superior's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Reagan Meyers led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. The contest was Meyers' sixth in a row with at least ten points. Sadie Cornell was another key player, putting up 17 points and four steals.

Superior smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 14 offensive boards in three consecutive matchups.

Superior's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for St. Patrick's, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

As for St. Patrick's, they will look to defend their home court on January 4th against Elm Creek at 6:00 p.m. St. Patrick's has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
