Richard Winn Academy had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. They came out on top against the Lee Academy Cavaliers by a score of 12-8. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-9 two weeks ago.

Caroline Tolbert spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and four unearned) runs on six hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Richard Winn Academy got a massive performance out of Harper Branham, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Those four RBI gave Branham a new career-high. Margaret Swearingen also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
