Purvis's game on Friday was all tied up 7-7 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top against the East Central Hornets by a score of 26-16. The win was familiar territory for the Tornadoes, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Purvis' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Paxton Cooper, who rushed for 74 yards and one score on only ten carries, and also picked up 82 receiving yards.
