Basketball Game Preview: Westinghouse Warriors vs. Lake View Wildcats

The Westinghouse Warriors will face off against the Lake View Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Westinghouse will be strutting in after a victory while Lake View will be coming in after a loss.

Westinghouse took a loss when they played away from home last Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They blew past Senn 59-34.

Meanwhile, Lake View played a tough match last Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 79-20 defeat at the hands of Butler. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-11.

Westinghouse will have to contain Xochilt Rosales as she made an impact in Lake View's last game. She posted ten points.

Westinghouse pushed their record up to 14-13 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.2 points over those games. As for Lake View, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8.

Everything came up roses for Westinghouse against Lake View when the teams last played back in February of 2023, as the team secured a 55-20 victory. Will Westinghouse repeat their success, or does Lake View have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
