Volleyball Recap: Altha Makes It Four in a Row at Home + How To Watch

Altha hadn't done well against Sneads recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Wildcats skirted past the Pirates 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wildcats have posted since September 11th.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (101-99) Altha actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-18, 13-25, 25-19, 16-14.

When it comes to explaining why Sneads lost, don't look at LaRay Gibbs. Despite the final result, she had 35 digs and six aces. Gibbs has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 34 times she's played. Shaleigh Harrell was another key player, getting 23 digs and three aces.
