Baseball Game Preview: Brandywine Bobcats vs. Michigan Lutheran Titans

The Brandywine Bobcats will head out on the road to challenge the Michigan Lutheran Titans at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Brandywine's pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so Michigan Lutheran's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Brandywine is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Mishawaka just ended the team's ten-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cavemen. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Bobcats couldn't push the score so high this time.

Meanwhile, Michigan Lutheran entered their tilt with Kalamazoo HomeSchool on Thursday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They skirted past the Cougars 8-6.

Anthony Ealey was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases and two runs. He has become a key player for Michigan Lutheran: the team is 6-3 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 4-5 otherwise. Jackson Fox also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Michigan Lutheran was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .526. The last time their batting average was this high was in their last 12 matchups.

Brandywine's defeat dropped their record down to 17-3-2. As for Michigan Lutheran, their win bumped their record up to 10-8.

Brandywine skirted past Michigan Lutheran 7-5 when the teams last played back in May of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bobcats since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
