Rockwood extended their winning streak to six on Friday, bumping their season record up to 13-4 in the process. Everything went their way against the Blacklick Valley Vikings as they made off with a 10-3 win. That's more bragging rights for the Rockets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Nathan Show made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. Show was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Carson Brown, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Davis Bruening, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

As for Blacklick Valley, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-2. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for they, who until this matchup were averaging 3.5 runs allowed.

On Blacklick Valley's side, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Greg Schilling, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Coming up, Rockwood will head out on the road to square off against Moshannon Valley at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Blacklick Valley, they will welcome Windber at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
