Softball Recap: Lake Worth Comes Up Short

Lake Worth was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They lost 19-2 to the Springtown Porcupines. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Porcupines this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-1 back in March.

Lake Worth's defeat dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Springtown, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lake Worth is set to take on their familiar foe Burkburnett at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Springtown will square off against rival Bridgeport at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
