Soccer Recap: Marion-Franklin Takes a Loss

Marion-Franklin lost against Columbus International back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Red Devils came up short against the Lions, falling 11-0. While losing is never fun, Marion-Franklin can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 587th, while Columbus International are ranked 174th).

Marion-Franklin's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Columbus International, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Marion-Franklin will square off against Northland at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Columbus International, they will face off against South at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Columbus International will be up against South's rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.09 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
