The Ramona Rams will venture away from home to take on the King Wolves at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Ramona is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games dating back to last season.
The scorekeeper got an easy start on Saturday as neither Ramona nor Colton made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Rams were the clear victors by a 13-0 margin over the Yellowjackets.

Richard Laskey made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
In other batting news, Julian DeCasas was excellent, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with three RBI, one run, and one double. Anthony Avina was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

While the Wolves didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
Miles Swan tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over six innings pitched.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Cooper Cantrell, who went 3-for-5 with three RBI and one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that he has snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Carlos Moreno, who went 3-for-4 with one run.
Ramona's record now sits at 3-0. As for King, their record is now 4-1.
Monday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Ramona hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .317. However, it's not like King struggles in that department as they've averaged .345. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Ramona came out on top in a nail-biter against King when the teams last played back in March of 2025, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
