Recap: Thompson Valley Eagles vs. Holy Family Tigers
The Thompson Valley Eagles and the Holy Family Tigers squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but sadly the Thompson Valley Eagles had to settle for second. They took a hard 21-7 fall against the Tigers. Thompson Valley's loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.
Riley Suarez threw for 136 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 136 yards and a touchdown. Garet Hendrickson was his top target, picking up 50 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Rylan Cooney was his usual excellent self, rushing for 58 yards and two touchdowns for Holy Family.
Thompson Valley's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Holy Family, their victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-1.
Thompson Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Holy Family will take on Lutheran at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Lutheran is ranked 21st, while Holy Family is ranked 19th).
