While Zaidee Huls delivered a dominant effort on Monday, a win just wasn't in the cards for McCook Central/Montrose. Huls struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up six earned runs off nine hits (and only one walk). The performance also marked the fewest walks (one) she has had since back in April.

Huls and McCook Central/Montrose will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Hanson at 4:00 p.m. The Beavers will enter the matchup having just beaten Wagner, so the Fighting Cougars will have to guard against a team looking to keep the ball rolling.
