Recap: Monterey Wildcats vs. Van Buren County Eagles        
        
		
            
 The Monterey Wildcats's game  last Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Tuesday. In a tight  contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a  46-45 win over Van Buren County. For Monterey, this counts as revenge for the   77-54 loss Van Buren County walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in December of 2022.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Monterey to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Kelsi Flanigan, who  scored 8 points along with 6  rebounds and 5  assists.  Carly Wright was another key contributor,  scoring 13 points along with 6  rebounds and 3  steals.
 Monterey's win bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Van Buren County, they  still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Monterey will  square off against Scott at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday. As for Van Buren County, they will head out on the road to face off against White County at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday. White County presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Van Buren County in Tennessee (White County is ranked third, while Van Buren County is ranked 255th).
