Soccer Recap: Babylon Takes a Loss

If Babylon was riding high fresh off their 6-0 takedown of Greenport on September 11th, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Southampton Mariners on Tuesday. Babylon were not able to make up for their loss to Southampton from their previous meeting back in October of 2022.

Babylon's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Southampton, the victory got them back to even at 4-4-1.

Coming up, Southampton will be playing in front of their home fans against Pierson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Babylon will be paying especially close attention to the Mariners' contest: after the Mariners face off against Center Moriches, they'll take on Babylon again at 4:30 p.m. on the 16th.
