Baseball Recap: Lake Howell Gets the Win

Lake Howell had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against the Mount Dora Christian Academy Bulldogs by a score of 10-6 on Monday.

Diego Miranda was excellent, going 2-for-3 with four stolen bases and three runs. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kainoa Jackson, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Howell is headed away from home for the first time to face off against Seminole at 6:00 p.m. on the 17th. As for Mount Dora Christian Academy, they are headed away from home for the first time to take on Lake Brantley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
