It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Sedgwick County had no problem doing just that on Friday. They claimed a resounding 61-21 victory over the Limon Badgers. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 21 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Lainee Nein, who dropped a double-double with 24 points and 13 boards. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Piper Buettenback, who posted eight points along with seven rebounds and five steals.

Sedgwick County is on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.9 points over those games. Limon is on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-20.

Coming up, Sedgwick County and Haxtun will face off at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. Limon does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
