Basketball Game Preview: South Aiken Thoroughbreds vs. Midland Valley Mustangs

The South Aiken Thoroughbreds are taking a road trip to challenge the Midland Valley Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Last Friday, South Aiken was beaten by Gray Collegiate Academy 51-17. The Thoroughbreds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Midland Valley played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Aiken, falling 53-27.

South Aiken now has a losing record at 10-11. As for Midland Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 14 of their last 16 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-18 record this season.

South Aiken beat Midland Valley 45-36 when the teams last played back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for South Aiken since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
