Recap: Terrell County Greenwave vs. Manchester Blue Devils
The Terrell County Greenwave scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 87-57 victory over Manchester on the road. Considering Terrell County has won four matchups by more than 29 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Terrell County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Michael Carter, who scored 20 points. Another player making a difference was Keavonte Anderson, who scored 18 points.
Several Blue Devils players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Daryus Bryant, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds. Bryant is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Jhi Terry was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 17 rebounds.
Terrell County's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Manchester, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.
Terrell County will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Westover at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Westover is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. Manchester and Troup County will face off at 7:30 p.m. on December 27th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. One thing working in Troup County's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four contests.
