Basketball Recap: Laporte Wildcats vs. Sebeka Trojans
Laporte was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 65-33 loss at the hands of the Sebeka Trojans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 76-41 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February.
Sebeka found their leader in sophomore Max Lake, who went 10 of 15 on his way to 24 points and four steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which Lake has scored at least a third of Sebeka's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Kiser, who posted eight points and seven rebounds.
Laporte's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Sebeka, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Laporte will host Walker-Hackensack-Akeley at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sebeka, they will welcome New York Mills at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
