Baseball Recap: Lehi Comes Up Short

Lehi managed to slip by American Fork the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Pioneers came up short against the Cavemen on Wednesday, falling 10-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Pioneers have suffered since May 1, 2024.

Lehi got a good showing from Kannon Whiteley, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Lehi saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cooper Williams, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Lehi's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for American Fork, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.

While Lehi had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
