Basketball Game Preview: St. Charles North North Stars vs. Geneva Vikings

The St. Charles North North Stars will head out to challenge the Geneva Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: St. Charles North has struggled recently with eight defeats in a row, while Geneva will arrive with three straight wins.

On Saturday, St. Charles North came up short against Schaumburg and fell 63-50. While losing is never fun, the North Stars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 411th, while the Saxons are ranked 141st).

Meanwhile, Geneva beat St. Charles East 44-37 on Tuesday.

St. Charles North's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Geneva, their victory was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-2.

St. Charles North didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Geneva when the teams last played back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 50-46 win.
